Awards Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross

Hans-Georg Leyser (16 June 1896 – 18 April 1980) was a highly decorated Generalmajor in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded the 29. Infanterie-Division. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Hans-Georg Leyser surrendered on 31 January 1943 during the Battle of Stalingrad.
