Hang Tuah Stadium

Hang Tuah Stadium or Kubu Stadium (Malay: Stadium Hang Tuah) is a multi-use stadium in Malacca, Malaysia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and serves as the home stadium to Malacca FA.[1]

History

The stadium was initially opened in 1954 by G.E.C Wisdom. C.M.G., the then President Commissioner of Malacca, President of the Municipal Council and President of Malacca Stadium as the Fortress Stadium under the management of Malacca Stadium Committee. On 31 August 2001, the stadium was renamed to Hang Tuah Stadium.[2]

Architecture

The stadium spans over an area of 8 acres and can hold up to 15,000 people at one time.
