When she wrote "It's sunrise (天亮了)", it was about a cable car incident in 3 October, 1999, where a cable car fell off the cliff after the cable snapped, where a toddler was saved by his parents but they passed away. Han went on and adopted him. She also helped with the relief effort in 2008 when her home province suffered a major earthquake. In 1971, she was born in Qamdo happily with a big family. However, at the age of six, her father died. "My father has left us, our life has been going worse and worse since his death. Because my mother was extremely busy working as an actor, I did not have a happy childhood at all."

In 1997, CCTV "Half Sky" crew has made a series of talk show and this show made a big change to her fate. At that time, the director of the show thought that Han Hong looks like Zhang Yue [2] who was a very talented TV presenter at CCTV. The director introduced many songs made by Han Hong to Zhang Yue and then Han Hong was invited to be a guest of Zhang Yue's show called " Do not worry about how you looks".[3] Although Han Hong was fat and common-looking, she presented herself in a confident and unique way at the show. After the show, Han Hong got a huge response online.
