Hamza (Arabic: الحمزة) is Iraqi city and seat of Hamza District. It is situated in Al-Qādisiyyah Governorate 25km south of Diwaniya and 175 km south of Baghdad on the Diwaniya Channel (derived from Euphrates).Its name attributed to Ahmad Ibn Hashim Al-Ghurifi titled Hamza who killed and buried in the region (before the city has been built).[1] total population Arab Shia Islam belonging to Arabic tribes such as Jubur ,Khazali,Salameh , Aerdh ,and Alakra.[2]
