Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust

The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is a wildlife trust covering the counties of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, England.

They are the leading local wildlife conservation charity in Hampshire and the Island. They care for 57 wildlife reserves – more than 6,500 acres (26 km2) of valuable wildlife habitat – and provide volunteering, education and training opportunities, enabling individuals and communities to provide sustained benefit to these essential wild places.

As well as managing their own land, they also provide advice to other landowners on how to manage their land with wildlife in mind. The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust carries out surveys and gathers data to monitor how local wildlife is doing. The aim of the Trust is to protect wildlife on land and in the sea – so that everyone can enjoy a future rich in wildlife.
