Hamar Arbeiderblad
Hamar Arbeiderblad is a local newspaper published in Hamar, Norway. It is part of the media company Hamar Media. The newspaper was first published on 30 March 1925, in 1,200 copies. It was the local branches of the Labour Party that took the initiative to start up the publication.[1] It is no longer a political organ today.[1] In 1943, during World War II, Hamar Arbeiderblad was renamed Hedmark. Later the same year it was merged with the newspaper Hamar Stiftstidende, and for the duration of the war published under the name of Hedmarkingen.[2]
As of 2007 it was the largest newspaper in Hedmark, with a circulation of 27,363 and a readership of 71,600.[1] The newspaper employs 180 people full-time, and the editor in chief is Rolv Amdal.[3]
