Haltom High School is a grade 9-12 high school located in Haltom City, Texas with over 2500 students.
History
Haltom High School completed expansions in 2010 that began in 2007. The expansion made room for another gym, a blackbox theater, a choir room, a band hall, percussion room, color guard room, and more classrooms.
Structure
Three middle schools feed into Haltom High School: North Oaks Middle School, Watauga Middle School, and Haltom Middle School. Haltom is the largest high school in the Birdville Independent School District, both in population and building size.
Demographics
40% of the student population is white, 40% is hispanic, 13% Asian, and 7% African-American.
Athletics
The Haltom mascot is the Buffalo. School colors are Black, Orange, and White.
Fine arts
Band
The Haltom High School Band, also known as the "Pride of Haltom" is under the direction of Greg Hull, Donnie Hull, and Hunter Lewis. The Haltom High School Marching Band is a consistent recipient of the UIL Sweepstakes Award, was a Texas 5A State Marching Band Finalist in 2004, and was a Bands of America Super Regional Finalist from 1995 to 2008. The Pride of Haltom marched in the Tournament of Roses Parade on January 1, 2011. The Haltom High School Pride of Haltom also advanced to the Texas state marching competition and performed on Tuesday, November 2, 2010. They performed in the San Antonio Alamodome.
Choir
The "Voice of Haltom" is the award winning choir program currently under the direction of Mr. Jeremy Crozier. There are currently 9 choirs within the Voice of Haltom including the show-choirs "Haltom Harmonics" and "Haltom Singers."

Theatre
Haltom Theatre, the "Spirit of Haltom", is an award-winning program which specializes in large main stage productions. They are currently in rehearsals for this year's Mainstage musical, Peter Pan. Performances run February 1 - February 4. Next up is their UIL Contest Show The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail. Rounding out the year will be the Student Directed One Act Plays directed by the Production Class. These titles are TBA.
