Halsted Street, also known as Halsted Street/U.I.C., is a station on Metra's BNSF Railway Line, located in Chicago, Illinois. The station is 1.8 miles (2.9 km) away from Union Station, the eastern terminus of the West Line.[1] In Metra's zone-based fare system, Halsted Street is in zone A. Halsted Street is only served during rush hour periods; trains that serve this station during morning rush hour are: 1202, 1212, 1222, 1230, 1246, 1254, and 1260. A few more eastbound trains also serve the station during evening rush hour, which is also referred to as the "reverse commute." Reverse commute trains that stop at Halsted are: 1270, 1274, and 1288. Evening rush hour trains that stop at Halsted are: 1233, 1237, 1241, 1247, 1255, 1263, and 1275. There is only one reverse commute train that stops at Halsted during morning rush hour, and that is westbound train 1201. Halsted Street/UIC is not served on weekends, all eastbound and westbound weekend trains will terminate this station entoute to Union Station or Aurora.

Halsted Street station is elevated and consists of two island platforms on an embankment near an overpass. There is an unstaffed shelter, and staircases leading to the southbound sidewalk.
