Hailsham Community College is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Hailsham, East Sussex, England. There are currently around 1160 pupils at HCC.[1] Hailsham Community College has five buildings, a main block, science block, craft block and youth block, as well as an extensive sports hall. The sports hall is a million pounds lottery-funded building which was built in 2006.[2] The school is split up into five different houses: Torvill, Jackson, Bannister, Grey-Thompson and Redgrave (to be Simmonds, Farah, Ennis, Wiggins and Murray from September 2013).

The college has a pathway system in which select students are able to take their GCSE exams a year early.

In 2006 HCC was awarded the Sportsmark standard for its work in PE and within the wider community. In June 2007 it gained the Healthy Schools Gold standard, in recognition of its work to support the health and wellbeing of the students.[3]

The college became an academy on the 1st of August 2012.

The June 2013 Ofsted Report, Good, gave four things that the School needed to do to improve further .[4]
