Ha*Ash is a Mexican-American pop duo composed of Hanna Nicole Pérez Mosa (born June 25, 1985) and Ashley Grace Pérez Mosa (born January 29, 1987) who are sisters. Combining a mixture of commercial Latin pop, country rhythms and singer/songwriter style, the Mexican-based duo has become very successful, especially in their hometown of Lake Charles, Louisiana. Their hits include: "Estés Donde Estés" (Wherever you are), "Odio Amarte"(I Hate Loving you), "Te Quedaste" (You Stayed) and "Amor a Medias" (Halfway Love).

Early lives

The sisters had an inclination towards singing from an early age. When they were 11 and 13 years old, they won a music-talent show at their school. At 14 and 15 they received invitations to participate in festivals such as the Railroad Festival and the Louisiana Music Cavalcade.

After the festival experience, the sisters recorded a demo. Sony Music was impressed by the talent of the girls, and so they formed the group Ha*Ash, a mixture of pop, rock and country.

Career

They recorded their self-titled first album with the Mexican producer Aureo Baqueiro in 2002.[1] In April 2003, they released their first single, "Odio Amarte", which was a hit on Mexican radio stations, TV channels and festivals. The second single was "Estes en donde Estes" which was released on July 2003. In February 2004, a third single was released: the ballad "Te Quedaste", the last single from their album debut was "Soy Mujer" which was used in the third version of Big Brother VIP Mexico. Ha-Ash received their first gold disc for selling 75,000 copies, and then the platinum album, with 140,000 copies sold.

After the success of their first album, a special edition of the album was released. This album has the videos of their first three singles: Odio Amarte, Estés Donde Estés and Te Quedaste; behind the scenes of the videos, karaoke and an interview with Hanna & Ashley about the promotion of their album. After this they performed in the Teatro Metropolitan in Mexico City.

This was followed by their second album Mundos Opuestos again with Aureo Baqueiro. "Amor A Medias" was the first single and reached number four on the Mexican Chart in April 2006. The song was chosen to promote Sony's products. "Me Entrego a Ti" was the second single and had the same success. Both singles have videos that reached No. 1 on many television channels. "Tu Mirada En Mí" was released in the United States and the video has a high rotation on MTV Tr3s, in Mexico the third single was "¿Qué Hago Yo?" which was written by Colombian artist Soraya. This single reached No. 1 on the Mexican Chart and beat Shakira's Hips Don't Lie. Not only have they been successful on the radio, but as well as on TV.

Their musical influences are Reba McEntire, Brandi Carlile, Soraya and Sin Bandera.

The third studio album from Mexican sister act Ha*Ash Habitación Doble (Double Room) . The album was released on August 1, 2008 . The first single for this album was "No Te Quiero Nada" and received heavy airplay in Mexico.[1] The second single, recorded with Brandi Carlile, was "Already Home", and was picked as the iTunes Single of the Week in late September 2008.

Three years passed between the last album and this Ha*Ash production titled "A Tiempo". Just as it is called the fourth item of the two sisters who decided to make it easy to launch a renewed work that could feel his evolution and maturity. Ha*Ash worked with producer Aureo Baqueiro, but also invited the Italian Michele Canova, who helped them find new ways. Of this material have detached four singles: "Impermeable" (Waterproof), "Te dejo en libertad" (I'll leave you in freedom)- song with great success created because of an experience of Ashley "Todo no fue suficiente (Everything was not enough)" and "De donde sacas eso?" (Where do you get that?)- theme created by Hanna experience. But being "Te dejo en libertad" (I'll leave you in freedom) the most significant theme of the album, because a large number of views on YouTube and even today their success continues to be considerable. "A tiempo" is the fourth full length album Ha*Ash and counted with the collaboration of Leonel Garcia (Sin Bandera), Natalia Lafourcade and Alejandro Fernández, resulting in one of the best albums of his career and reaching so successful that they released a special edition a deluxe and time have led tours through Latin America.
