HD 3240 is a 5th magnitude star in the constellation Cassiopeia, approximately 510 light years away from Earth. It is a bluish white giant star of the spectral type B7III, meaning its surface temperature is at least twice as hot as that of the Sun, and it is many times larger and brighter.[1]
