György Kousz

György Kousz (Slovene: Juri Kous, Prekmurian: Jürko Kous) was a Hungarian Slovene teacher and writer. It is unknown if Kousz or the priest of Pertoča István Pauli is the author of the local prekmurian hymnal.

Kousz's life is almost unknown. His hymnal has 256 church hymns and 1 profane hymn, litanys and Matthew-passion. The last chapter of hymnal is the Kniga hisztoriánszka (History book).

Following teacher of Pertoča after 1829 is János Kousz, probably György's son.
