Gurpreet Sandhu (Romi amongst his close friends and relatives) born on March 16, 1965 is an Indian based entrepreneur. He is currently the Managing Director of Reva Pharmachem (P) Ltd.[1] Reva Pharma is a global pharmaceutical organization with core focus in regulated and emerging markets. The key therapies of business are; Oncology, Anti-Infective, Life style drugs and HIV (ARV). He is also the Co- Founder & Chairman of Meriwealth.com which is a reality & finance company.[2]

Early life

Gurpreet was born in Tarn Taran town of Punjab India. His father Tarlochan Singh Sandhu, is a retired civil servant and he lost his mother at a very early age. He is the eldest of 3 siblings and has one brother and sister. He completed his schooling at 3 schools 1971-1973 at St. John High School (Chandigarh), 1973-1975 at Sacred Heart Convent School (Ludhiana), and finally passed his matriculation from A PEE JAY Public School (Jalandhar). He completed his bachelors (BSc-Economics) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana. He was awarded Rotary International Fellowship Scholarship in 1989-1990 and then secured his 2nd MBA “specialization in International Business” from Cardiff University in 1991. On 2nd Feb 1992 he got married and has a daughter named Amritah. His only child Amritah is pursuing her graduation in Economics at London University.[3]

Career

Gurpreet Sandhu, a highly driven business leader with over 26 years of experience in pharmaceuticals,[4] chemicals and agro commodities, is now the Managing Director of ‘Reva Pharmachem Pvt. Ltd’ and Co-Founder cum Chairman of Meriwealth.com, based in India.

He has served in diverse management positions in multinational corporations. In his early years Gurpreet worked with the TATA Group & Global Traders. He then worked at Matrix (Mylan), followed by 8 years as a director of the global API business in Ranbaxy (Daiichi Sankyo).

Gurpreet stands out from other businessmen as he has travelled over 75 nations, thereby being a true international citizen with a global perspective. This gives him a wider understanding of key markets: Japan,[5] Europe, India and other emerging economies. Over his career, he has developed myriad skills in general management, International Business, Mergers and acquisitions, Procurement and Vendor Development.
