Guntakal Railway Division is one of the six divisions of South Central Railway zone (SCR) of the Indian Railways.[1] The headquarters of the division is at Guntakal and its zonal headquarters is at Secunderabad. Guntakal Division is Uni Gauge i.e Enitire Bg line Division
History
Guntakal division created in 1956 as part of the Southern Railway zone. It was transferred to South Central Railway zone on 2 October 1977.[2] It covers the states of Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.

- Guntakal Houses a Railway Hospital with 131 Beds .
Projects
- SCR's Largest project Kadapa - Banglore new Bg line comes under Guntakal Division . The 257 km long new Bg line foundation Stone Laid in the year 2010 . Among these 257 km's line nearly 200 km line passing through Kadapa , Chittore districts of Ap . It passes through Bussiness centres Rayachoti , Madanapally and Bangarpet . This project will be complited under 4 phases . First phase works from kadapa to pendlimarri [ 21.8 km ] completed . Second phase from Pendlimarri to Rayachoti under progress . Third phase from Rayachoti to Madanapally and Fourth phase from Madanapally to Bangarpet which will ultimayely connected to Banglore .
