Gunja(Urdu: گنجه ) is a village and a union council of Gujrat District, in the Punjab province of Pakistan.[1] It is part of Kharian Tehsil. Other villages in the union council are Chakdina, Chak Ikhlas, Hail, Mughli, Dhalla, Chak Rajjadi, Jataria Khurd, Jataria Kalan, Chatta and Sarwani.
Geography
The nearest town is Lalamusa.
Lifestyle
The village is surrounded on all sides by farmland. The major trades in the village are farming, masonry, and other types of manual labour. Gunja has a large diaspora living overseas, mainly in Dubai, New York, USA, European Countries and London, England. Remittances sent from overseas are a major source of income in the village.
