The Gulfport Amtrak station is a train station in Gulfport, Mississippi, United States served by Amtrak, the national railroad passenger system. Gulfport Station is a former union station that served the Louisville and Nashville Railroad and Gulf and Ship Island Railroad. Today it operates as the Gulfport Centennial Museum, and is listed on the Mississippi State Department of Archives and History.[1] It is also a contributing property of the Gulfport Harbor Square Commercial Historic District. Train service has been suspended since Hurricane Katrina struck Gulfport in 2005.
