Grizzly (previously entitled as Red Machine and later Endangered) is an American action thriller film directed by David Hackl and written by J.R. Reher.[1] The film stars James Marsden, Thomas Jane, Billy Bob Thornton, Piper Perabo and Scott Glenn.
Plot
Two estranged brothers reunite at their childhood home in the Alaskan wild. They set out on a two-day hike and are stalked by an unrelenting grizzly bear.

Production
On January 19, 2012 James Marsden, Thomas Jane and Billy Bob Thornton joined the cast of thriller Red Machine.[2] Later on 31 January Piper Perabo also joined the film cast to play the role of a fiance of Jane.[3] According to Deadline film's shooting was set to begin in Vancouver in February 2012.[5] Tai Duncan Hadeel Reda and Paul Schiff are producing the film.[5] On February 2, 2012 more cast added includes Scott Glenn, Adam Beach, Michaela McManus and Kelly Curran.[1] Bart the Bear was set co-star with Jane.[4] On February 27, 2013 Open Road Films acquired the distribution rights of the film.[6] Open Road has also renamed the title of the film from Red Machine to Endangered.[7] A trailer released July 20, 2014 revealed the film will now be called Grizzly.[8]
Filming
According to Deadline, filming began in February 2012 in Vancouver, Canada.[4][5]
Release
Splendid released the film on February 28, 2015 in Germany on DVD.[9] Open Road Films has set the release, for May 2015 in the United States.[10]
