Griffin Reinhart (born January 24, 1994) is a Canadian ice hockey defenceman currently playing with the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the American Hockey League as a prospect for the New York Islanders of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was selected fourth overall by the Islanders in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.[1] He was signed to a three-year entry level contract with the Islanders on August 2, 2012.[2]
Family
Griffin is the son of Paul Reinhart, a former NHLer. Griffin's older brother Max was drafted by the Calgary Flames in 2010 and his younger brother Sam was drafted second overall in 2014 by the Buffalo Sabres.
