Siptornopsis hypochondriaca | |
The great spinetail (Synallaxis hypochondriaca) is a species of bird in the Furnariidae family. It formerly was considered monotypic within the genus Siptornopsis.,[2] however in 2012 the SACC included it in the genus Synallaxis based on studies by Derryberry (2011). It is endemic to Peru. Its natural habitat is Mediterranean-type shrubby vegetation. It is threatened by habitat loss.
