Great River Fire Department (1916) is a volunteer fire department, located in Great River, NY on Long Island in Suffolk County. GRFD is part of the Suffolk County Fire Rescue and Emergency Services system with call numbers 3-9-0. The department headquarters is located at 108 River Road in front of Timber Point County Park public golf course, east of the entrance to Heckscher State Park.

The Mission of the Great River Fire Department is the protection of lives and property of the citizens of Great River from the adverse effects of fire, emergencies and hazardous situations on land or water.
