Grant T. Burgoyne (born August 9, 1953 in Ketchikan, Alaska)[1] is a Democratic Idaho State Senator since 2014, representing District 16.[2] He was elected to the Idaho State Senate in the 2014 elections. Burgoyne previously served in the Idaho House of Representatives.
Education
Burgoyne earned his bachelor's degree at the University of Idaho and his law degree from University of Kansas School of Law.
Elections
- 2012 Unopposed for the May 15, 2012, Democratic primary, Burgoyne[3] won, facing a three-party contest against Libertarian nominee Jeffrey Laing and Republican nominee Lee-Mark Ruff, for the general election on November 6, 2012. [4]
- 2008 When Democratic Representative Margaret Henbest retired and left the District 16 A seat open, Burgoyne was unopposed for the May 27, 2008, Democratic primary, winning with 1,410 votes;[5] he won the November 4, 2008, general election with 9,096 votes (55.7%) against Joan Cloonan (R).[6]
- 2010 Unopposed for the May 25, 2010, Democratic primary, Burgoyne won with 771 votes;[7] he won the November 2, 2010 general election with 5,934 votes (52.7%) against Ralph Perez (R).[8]
