Gramps Morgan

Roy "Gramps" Morgan (born 1976), son of well-known reggae artist Denroy Morgan, is a solo reggae singer. Following the steps of his father, he became part of the reggae band formed in 1994 by five children of reggae artist Denroy Morgan, namely Peetah Morgan, Una Morgan, Nakhamyah "Lukes" Morgan, Memmalatel "Mr. Mojo" Morgan and Roy "Gramps" Morgan himself. Gramps Morgan played keyboards in the band and was a vocalist in addition to main vocalist of ther band Peter (Peetah) Morgan. In two decades, they have had a number of successful reggae albums.

Aspiring for a solo career, Gramps Morgan released his debut solo album entitled Two Sides of My Heart, that earned him a number of nominations for awards. In 2009, he was also featured in the India.Arie song "Therapy" that charted in the United States. His second solo album, Reggae Music Lives, was released in 2012.

Personal life

Gramps Morgan was married to Carolice Morgan Together they have six children. However, all together "Gramps" Roy Morgan has 9 children. Jemere Morgan, the son of Gramps Morgan and the grandson of Denroy Morgan, has followed in the steps of his father and grandfather and has launched a career in music as well.[1] Jemere Morgan released his first single "First Kiss" on August 28, 2011. It is available on iTunes and on Dada Son Entertainment, the same label signing his father. He recently toured in Europe with Peetah Morgan and Gramps Morgan and opened for them throughout the tour.
