Governor Island (Tasmania)

Governor Island comprises two small granite islands, with a combined area of about 2 ha, in south-eastern Australia. It is part of the Schouten Island Group, lying close to the eastern coast of Tasmania near the Freycinet Peninsula and the town of Bicheno. It is a nature reserve.[1]

Fauna

Recorded breeding seabird and wader species are little penguin, silver gull, sooty oystercatcher and crested tern.[1]
