Goodnight, Texas is an American folk-rock band named after the geographic midpoint between songwriters Avi Vinocur (formerly of The Stone Foxes) of San Francisco and Patrick Dyer Wolf of North Carolina. Their debut album entitled A Long Life of Living was released October 2, 2012 via Tallest Man Records.[1][2] It has received praise from San Francisco press[3] and the blogosphere, garnering comparisons to such diverse acts as Levon Helm, Elliott Smith[4] and Punch Brothers.[5] Their single, "Jesse Got Trapped In A Coal Mine," premiered on the renowned folk music site American Songwriter in August 2012.[6] A performance of the song premiered exclusively on BAMM.TV shortly thereafter.[7]
