Golla (caste)

The Golla community or caste is a cattle-rearing caste in Andhra Pradesh who like the Kuruba, Kuruva and Kuruma, are predominantly sheep, goat and cattle herders. Alternate spellings include Gwals, Gaur, Gaura, Gowda or Gowda Golla. Caste politics include the counting of Gollas as Ahirs.[1]
