Golden match
In tennis, a golden match is a match which is won without dropping a single point. This means scoring the 48 minimum points required to win a match 6–0, 6–0 without conceding any points (assuming a best of three sets match). In professional, top-tier tennis, this is known to have happened only once.[1]
History
Only one person in the history of top-tier professional tour tennis is known to have ever achieved a golden match. In 1910, the four-time major singles winner Hazel Wightman achieved a golden match.[2]
