Gold digging is the jargon term used in the USA and the UK to describe the phenomenon of women (predominantly young and attractive), meeting wealthy men in hope to get monetary gains and increase their social status. Gold digging is most prevalent in global metropolitan cities, such as New York, London, Dubai, Moscow and so on. The term is often used with a negative connotation.
