The Golan Heights blind mole-rat (Spalax golani) is a rodent species in the family Spalacidae. It has been found on the Golan Heights (with records from Mount Hermon, Quneitra and El Al). This species, along with Spalax judaei and, by a different mechanism, Heterocephalus glaber, appears to be immune to cancer.[2]
