Gola Bazar is a town and a nagar panchayat in Gorakhpur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.Ranipur is a gram panchyat of Gola block.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census,[1] Gola Bazar had a population of 10,613. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Gola Bazar has an average literacy rate of 53%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 61%, and female literacy is 46%. Awadh Bihari Pandey, son of late Rajbali Pandey was a member of Indian National Army (INA) founded by "Neta Ji" Subash Chandra Bose at Singapore-South Asia. He was also an employee of Singapore jail and received regular pension from Singapore government as well as from government of India for being a freedom fighter.Jaglal Pandey is younger brother of Awadh Bihari Pandey.
