Gohar Kheirandish

Gohar Kheirandish (born on August 23, 1954)[1] is an Iranian actress.

Early Life

Gohar Kheirandish was born on August 23, 1954. She started her career practicing and performing with Shiraz's Theatre group in while she was still in high school. She met her future husband, Jamshid Esmael Khani, there. She worked both as an actress as well as employee of Shiraz's Art & Culture centre. In 1979 she was accepted in Tehran University and moved to Tehran with her family. She would continue her studies in Tehran as well as working for the Ministry of the culture.

Career

While studying and working in Tehran, Gohar Kheirandish started working in Television. Gohar Kheirandish started her career in cinema with 'Days of Waiting' directed by Asghar Hashemi and became household name after she was seen in 'Lady' directed by famous Iranian director Darush Mehrjoyi.

Gohar Kheirandish is famous for playing colorful and varied characters in Cinema, Television and theatre. She is currently teaching in Iran as well as holding workshops across the world.
