Goh Leong San

Goh Leong San (born 15 November 1967) is the Democratic Action Party (DAP) chairman in Malacca, Malaysia and a state assemblyman from the electoral district of Kesidang, Malacca. Leong San also is a member of the DAP Central Executive Committee.

Biography

Leong San was born on 15 November 1967. Prior to 2008, Leong San was an assemblyman from Bandar Hilir, Malacca. In 2008 at age 40, Leong San defeated Koh Nai Kwong with a majority 1,399 vote to become the state assemblyman from the electoral district of Kesidang, Malacca.

Personal life

Leong San holds Malay title, "The Honourable" ("Yang Berhormat"). His name, Leong San, means "Hero of Mount Liang" in Chinese, a name that also was used in the famous Chinese classical novel Water Margin.
