Glyphipterix simpliciella, the cocksfoot moth, is a species of moth of the Glyphipterigidae family. It is found in the western part of the Palaearctic ecozone and is common in much of Britain and Ireland.
The wingspan is 6–9 mm. Adults are on wing from May to July.
The larvae feed on the seeds of Dactylis glomerata and Festuca arundinacea and later pupate in the stem.
