Glochidion moonii is a species of plant in the Phyllanthaceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Leaves
lanceolate-oval, acute ends, acuminate, veins conspicuously reticulate, hairy.
Trunk
branchlets more or less tomentose.
Flowers
pale yellow, numerous; male on long hairy peduncles; female sessile; solitary or in axillary fascicles.
Fruits
pubescent, strongly 3-lobed capsule, topped by persistent style.
Ecology
rain forest understory of low montane and wet zones.
Culture
Known as බූ හුනුකිරිල්ල (bu hunukirilla) in Sinhala.
