Leaves
oval, tapering, sometimes unequal base, shortly acuminate to sickle-shaped apex.

branchlets slender, angular.

yellow, small clusters.
Fruits
orange-red, much depressed, smooth, 6-lobed capsule, crowned with slender style.
Ecology
rain forest understory of low montane and wet zones.
