Glidas is an unincorporated community in the Heth Township of Harrison County, Indiana, United States. The community is centered where Glidas Lane intersects with Old State Highway 135. In earlier days, the community was an advance trading post for Mauckport where farm stores where collected for export on the Ohio River.
A post office was established at Glidas in 1899, and remained in operation until it was discontinued in 1905.[2]
There is a pumping station for the South Harrison Community Water Corporation on the eastern side of Glidas.
