"Gives You Strength" was the first ever release by Californian punk rock band Swingin' Utters, released in 1992.
- The cover calls the band "Johnny Peebucks and the Swingin' Utters", the name they originally used before shortening it ("Johnny Peebucks" being singer Johnny Bonnel).
- Originally released as a 7" record most of these songs were later re-recorded for The Streets Of San Francisco and The Sounds Wrong E.P.
