"Gives You Strength" was the first ever release by Californian punk rock band Swingin' Utters, released in 1992.

The cover calls the band "Johnny Peebucks and the Swingin' Utters", the name they originally used before shortening it ("Johnny Peebucks" being singer Johnny Bonnel).
Originally released as a 7" record most of these songs were later re-recorded for The Streets Of San Francisco and The Sounds Wrong E.P.
