Gilmore, Ohio

Gilmore is an unincorporated community in Washington Township, Tuscarawas County, Ohio, United States south of the village of Gnadenhutten.[1] Gilmore sits on Tuscarawas County Road 10 (Gilmore Road) and is intersected by Tuscarawas County Road 14 (River Hill and Fallen Timber Roads) at Gilmore's square.

Gilmore was once a thriving town, but it now houses fewer than a hundred people. Gilmore has one church in town. West Union Church and West Union Cemetery sit to the southeast of town by Sawmill Road.

Gilmore is the birthplace of legendary baseball Hall of Fame pitcher Cy Young, for whom the Cy Young Award was named.[2]
