Giannis Alafouzos is a Greek businessman and member of the Alafouzos family from Santorini.
Biography
He is the son of businessman and publisher Aristide Alafouzos. He is married and has three children. He is the publisher of newspaper Kathimerini and the chairman of Skai Group - based in Neo Faliro of Piraeus, including the namesake television station Skai TV and three radio stations: Skai 100.3, Melody 99.2 and Red 96.3.
Dealing with Panathinaikos
In May 2012 he founded, together with players and fans of football team Panathinaikos F.C., the association Panathinaikos Alliance 2012 which took a majority stake in the football club. In September 2012 he became president of Panathinaikos F.C. in order to progress with the reorganization and consolidation of the association.
