Ghimire
Ghimire is one of the caste of the Brahmin and dalit varna in the Hindu Varna System. They belong to Kashyap Gotra. They live in the mountainous region of Nepal and India. Nepalese with the caste Ghimire have contributed in diverse fields of Nepalese society including art, literature, politics, medicine, sports etc.
There are two types of Ghimire: One prays Cow on the specific day of Tihar on Laxmi Puja(Aunsi ko raat) and other on the next day of Aunsi.
