Equestrian
Germany became one of the first three nations to earn places at the Games, qualifying a complete team in dressage by winning the team event at the 2014 FEI World Equestrian Games.[2] The German eventing team also qualified for Rio by winning the gold medal at the same World Games.[3]

Sailing
Germany has qualified one boat for each of the following events upon receiving a place from the 2014 ISAF Sailing World Championships.[4]

- Women's skiff – 49erFX (Victoria Jurczok & Anika Lorenz)
Shooting
German shooters have achieved the following quotas based on their performance at the 2014 ISSF World Shooting Championships.[5]
- Men's 10m air rifle – 1 quota place (Nicolas Schallenberger)
- Men's 50 m rifle prone – 1 quota place (Daniel Brodmeier)
- Men's 25 m rapid fire pistol – 1 quota place (Oliver Geis)
- Women's 50 m rifle 3 positions – 2 quota places (Beate Gauß, Selina Gschwandtner)
- Women's 10 m air rifle – 1 quota place (Sonja Pfeilschifter)
- Women's trap – 1 quota place (Katrin Quooß)
Swimming
German swimmers have so far achieved qualifying standards in the following events (up to a maximum of 2 swimmers in each event at the Olympic Qualifying Time (OQT), and potentially 1 at the Olympic Selection Time (OST)):[6][7]
