German armored ship referendum, 1928
A referendum on prohibiting the construction of Armored Ship A (Panzerschiffe A was the contract name of the future cruiser Deutschland) was held in Germany between 3 and 16 October 1928.[1] The referendum was initiated by the Communist Party of Germany, but failed due to insufficient turnout of the petition (just 2.9%).[2]
