Gerald Washington (born April 23, 1982) is an undefeated Mexican American professional boxer in the Heavyweight division.[1] He is managed by Al Haymon.[2]
Early life
Washington's mother is of Mexican descent, his father African-American, in his youth he lived in Mexico for a while. [3] He served in the United States Navy. He went on to play tight end and defensive end for the University of Southern California.[4] In the NFL, he was member of the Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bills practice squads.[5]
Professional career
At the somewhat advanced age of 30 the big 6-foot-5 made his pro debut in 2012. As of August 2014 he is 14–0(10) with KOs over little-known 16–1 Skipp Scott (KO2) and chinny Golden Gloves winner Travis Walker and UDs over durable journeyman Sherman Williams and Nagy Aguilera.
