Gerald Marzorati

Gerald Marzorati was the editor of The New York Times Magazine for seven years before stepping down in 2010.[1][2]

Personal

Career

Marzorati was the New York Times' assistant managing editor for new media and strategic initiatives.[3] He began working here in 1994 and ended in 2001. Prior to working for The Times, Marzorati worked as an editor at the New Yorker and Harper's Magazine.[4]

Books

He is also the writer of A Painter of Darkness, a book about Leon Golub.[2] For the book, he received the PEN/Martha Albrand Award for First Nonfiction in 1991.
