Georges Creek Railway
The Georges Creek Railway (reporting mark GCK) is a shortline railroad in Western Maryland. Headquartered in Luke, the line rosters ten locomotives, including eight historic Western Maryland Railway units (one ALCO S-2, two GP-9s, three SD40s, one SD38P (a rebuilt SD35), and one FA2), a former Southern Pacific Railroad ALCO S-6 switcher and a former Pennsylvania Railroad T-6 switcher.
Operating since December 2007[1] on former CSX Transportation trackage,[2] the firm does contract switching services for the NewPage Paper Mill in Luke.
