George Lewis is a professional rugby league footballer of the 1920s, '30s and '40s, playing at club level for Castleford, as a Fullback, i.e. number 1.[1]

Playing career

Rugby League County League appearances

George Lewis played in Castleford's 1932–33, and 1938–39 Yorkshire League victories.

Challenge Cup final appearances

George Lewis played Fullback in Castleford's 11-8 victory over Huddersfield in the 1934–35 Challenge Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday 4 May 1935.[2]
