George Ihler (born March 4, 1943) is a former American football player and coach in the United States. He is a native of Marinette, Wisconsin[1] and attended Marinette High School.[2]
Coaching career
Ihler was the head college football coach for the Saginaw Valley State Cardinals located in University Center, Michigan. He held that position for 11 seasons, from 1983 until 1993. His coaching record at Saginaw Valley State was 61 wins, 52 losses and 1 tie.As of the conclusion of the 2010 season, this ranks him #2 at Saginaw Valley State in total wins and #4 at the school in winning percentage (.539).[3]
