George Edward Cotterill

George Edward Cotterill (born 28 July 1839 at Weilghery Hills, Madras, India; died 2 June 1913 at Cambridge) was an English amateur cricketer.

Career

Cotterill was educated at Brighton College and St John's College, Cambridge.[1] As a cricketer he was mainly associated with Cambridge University and Sussex, making 18 known appearances in first-class matches from 1858 to 1874.[2][3]

His brother Joseph Cotterill played 37 first-class matches, mainly for Sussex, from 1870 to 1888. George Edward Cotterill's son was George Huth Cotterill, who also played for Cambridge University and Sussex.
