George Cavenagh (16 June 1836 – 23 November 1922) was an Australian cricketer who played for Victoria. He was born in Sydney and died in Melbourne.

Cavenagh made a single first-class appearance for the side, during the 1853–1854 season, against Tasmania. He scored 35 runs in the first innings, and 10 runs in the second.

Cavenagh took six wickets during the match, including first-innings figures of 5–46.[1]
