General Education Academy also known as GEA is an English medium school located in Chembur, Mumbai. The School follows the SSC curriculum prescribed by the Maharashtra board. The 'General Education Academy Trust' was founded in June 1963 by the then Chief Minister Shri. Marotrao Kannamwar. Mr. V. L. Shanbag (Principal and Executive Secretary), has been in charge of the school for the past twenty-eight years. The school for many years has been run by eminent educationists and teachers. There have been changes in the chair of the headmaster.
The school recently celebrated on completing 50 years on July 13, 2013.
Campus
The school is replete with cameras in each and every class room and the corridor. There are 2 cameras in every class room and 3 in the corridor.The school has AV room, science lab, computer lab, etc. helpful for students.
Golden Jubilee Celebrations
The school completed 50 years on 27 Sep 2014 and thereby hoisted a program at the Fine Arts Gallery, Chembur, Mumbai. The Program was attended by the school, alumni and ex-teachers.Following the completion of 50 years, the school has undergone a complete revamp.

SSC curriculum
The school is affiliated to the SSC Board of Maharashtra. Subjects offered include English as a First Language, Marathi as a Second Language, Hindi, History, Geography, Algebra, Geometry, and Science as prescribed by the SSC Maharashtra Board.
Activities
The Extra curricular activities here include quiz, Gita recitation competition for which over 20 schools from Mumbai participate. It is also known for its performances in inter school dance competitions. The school is synonymous with activities conducted which include singing, dancing and yoga classes. The school is also a center for various discourses conducted by spiritual guru's. The school has a Parliament of its own, with a prime minister on its head and his assembly. Disobedience is not tolerated. This school is expert in helping the pupils. Many teachers have got 'The Best Teacher Award'.
