Eugene (Gene) Moore, Jr. (August 26, 1909 – March 12, 1978) was a right fielder in Major League Baseball. From 1931 through 1945, he played for the Cincinnati Reds (1931), St. Louis Cardinals (1933–1935), Boston Bees (1936–1938, 1940), Brooklyn Dodgers (1939–1940), Boston Braves (1941), Washington Senators (1942–1943) and St. Louis Browns (1944–1945). Moore was born in Lancaster, Texas. He batted and threw left-handed. His father, Gene Sr., was a pitcher for the Pirates and Reds between 1910 and 1912.
Career
In a 14-season career, Moore posted a .270 batting average with 436 RBI in 1042 games played.
